ABOUT COMMITMENTS

The top youth winners of seven different livestock shows - Rabbits, Chickens, Turkeys, Swine, Lambs, Goats and Steers - will sell their animals in the auction.  However, only 185 of the approximately 800 animals entered in these divisions will go to auction. The commitment program is designed to give the exhibitors whose animals do not make the Auction an opportunity to make money on their projects.  This money is usually used to pay the feed bill, to start the next year’s project, or to save for their future education.

Plan for the future…MAKE A COMMITMENT TO THE YOUTH OF GALVESTON COUNTY.

THANK YOU TO OUR BUYERS

The success of the Commitment Program would not be possible without the help and generous support of the many individuals, businesses and companies who purchase the animals.  The Galveston County Fair & Rodeo wishes to thank you for your past and continued support for the youth of Galveston County.
